Pre + post operative rehabilitation
Pre-operative is the stage before your surgery that allows you to be fully informed about the procedure and conditioning your body. Patients are often advised specific exercises at this stage to optimise their post-op journey of recovery.
After your surgery, your physiotherapist will continue with your recovery with a rehabilitation plan, often with specific objectives and focuses at each stage e.g. minimising pain, strengthening your muscles, gradually returning to your fitness activities etc.
Sterling Physiotherapy works closely with various surgeons across Melbourne throughout this process to ensure you are properly guided and informed at all times.
